Critical Deliverables

The child support program in Ohio is both an administrative and judicial program. This means that CSEAs need legal analysis of rules, regulations, and case law at the local, state, and national level. CSEAs also need legal training for attorneys and hearing officers who handle complex cases and legal issues every day. Maintaining a high level of legal training that we provide is one of our most critical deliverables. We also are involved in legislative and executive branch lobbying on important child support and program-related matters, pushing forward OCSPA-led legislation and also providing expertise and testimony on other bills.

Case Law/Policy Updates

OCSPA reads and summarizes the policy issued by both state and federal offices as well as all of the caselaw generated on child support in Ohio and nationwide on interstate issues, saving the counties hours of valuable time each month.
