History
Founded in 1990 by a small group of child support directors, OCDA is a not-for-profit resource on child support issues for child support professionals. Association membership is limited to Child Support Enforcement Agencies (CSEAs) and
Key Partner Members.
- Through advocacy, legislation, policy development, partnerships, communication, and information sharing, the Ohio CSEA Directors’ Association (OCDA) serves as a vehicle to promote and strengthen the child support program.
- OCDA
provides information and technical assistance to those involved in shaping new legislation and regulatory initiatives.
- OCDA
coordinates the efforts of CSEAs
throughout the State by assisting county
CSEAs with program implementation and staff training in order to ensure that program goals and objectives are reached.
- OCDA actively participates in the ongoing process of program administration and policy development by presenting the views of the Association as they relate to the functions and operations of county child support enforcement agencies
- Bi-weekly publications detail pending legislative initiatives, regulatory matters, and county news. Annual spring and fall conferences started in 1993, offer training to child support professionals on a variety of related topics.

An executive director, director of public policy, director of operations, and, membership services coordinator, provide access for Association members, legislators, children’s advocates, policymakers, and the general public.
