Part One: The Great AI Debate

Artificial Intelligence is transforming government services, but should it shape decisions that impact families? In this live debate, experts and practitioners explore the promise and pitfalls of AI in child support. Will automation create faster, fairer outcomes, or risk losing the human touch essential to family- centered service? Presenters will weigh innovation against integrity and imagine the future of child support in the age of algorithms.

Part Two - Debate to Practice: Applying AI Safely in Child Support

Makes things up. Forces you to double-check its work. Claims it can do things it can’t. Sometimes ignores instructions. Occasionally feels like chaos in a box. Are we still talking about AI—or that snarky teenager energy from the last session?

Picking up where The Great AI Debate left off, this training shifts from skepticism to skill-building. Participants will learn how to work with AI—understanding its quirks, setting clear boundaries, and applying Ohio’s responsible AI policy in real-world child support scenarios. We’ll explore the current Copilot chat tools available after recent licensing updates, demonstrate practical use cases, and share techniques to verify outputs, reduce risk, and maintain human-centered decision-making.
